And so I just grated the orange on a coarse grater, although you can still grind the fruit with a meat grinder with a large grill, after cutting it into several pieces.

Well, so, mix the crushed orange with granulated sugar and pour half a liter of boiled cold water. Then cover the container with an orange lid and leave to infuse for 10 minutes. But this time is indicated in the recipe, as always, I deviate from it. I immediately mixed sugar with citric acid and then sent the mixture to the orange, poured it with water and left it to infuse for one hour. Then she added the remaining water and at the same time did not begin to filter the mixture, as indicated in the classic version. So left the mixture to infuse for another half hour. Now I strained it through a fine sieve and poured it into a bottle.

It seemed to me that two liters would make thin juice, but I was wrong, the juice with my one and a half liters turned out to be very saturated, so I had to dilute it a little more.

Chilled juice was drunk with a bang in minutes! So not always all stories, as it seemed to me not true, turn out to be very “tasty truth”! So 4 oranges and 8 or 9 liters of juice, or rather orange nectar, is a reality.

The main thing is to do everything according to the recipe. Production is waste-free, because. From the remains of an orange, you can cook delicious orange jelly)))

Wash 4 oranges, pour over boiling water (to remove wax and remove bitterness), wipe dry, put in the freezer for 2 hours, and preferably at night. Cut and pass through a meat grinder. Pour the resulting mass with three liters of cold boiled water (I use filtered water), let it brew for about 10 minutes.

Strain through a colander (so that large particles leave), then strain through a fine sieve, or through gauze folded in 5-6 layers. If you strain immediately through gauze, then large particles will immediately clog the holes and it will be difficult to strain the juice.

Add another 6 liters of water, 1 kg of sugar and 30 g of citric acid to the strained juice, stir everything, bottle it and let it brew for about an hour.

The output should be 9 liters of delicious orange juice.)))

From the mass remaining after straining, you can cook jam: add sugar and citric acid to taste, cook in the microwave under a closed lid in three doses for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Get orange jelly.

If lovers of citrus fruits, in particular oranges, live in your house, then this recipe is for you. Today we will make orange juice with our own hands. Agree, those juices and nectars that we buy in the store in bags are sometimes tasty, but basically it is orange juice that is prepared and packaged in large factories that is not made from this tasty, bright orange fruit at all. These juices are mostly made from pomace (waste) and orange and other peels. Further, this mass is crushed, water, citric acid, sometimes dyes, preservatives are added and poured into containers. This is the juice we buy in the store.

And today I will tell you how to make homemade orange juice from 1, 2, 3 oranges, while getting from 2 to 3 liters of delicious juice or, as you can call it, an orange drink. This drink is much tastier and healthier than store-bought. Homemade orange juice is easy to make. You can offer it to your family as a soft drink on a hot day, or even serve homemade orange juice on the festive table instead of packaged counterparts.

Cooking time - 1.5-2 hours.

The output of the finished product is 2-3.5 liters.

Would need:

  • oranges - 2-3 pcs.
  • lemon juice - 3 tbsp.
  • sugar - 1 cup
  • boiled water (room temperature) - 2-3 liters.

How to make orange juice at home:

Orange juice can be prepared even from one orange and you will also get about 2 liters. delicious, insanely fragrant, healthy drink that will appeal to everyone from young to old. The more oranges you use, the richer your homemade juice will be. But for one orange you can safely add up to 1.5 boiled water, the result will also be excellent.

To make homemade orange juice, you first need to thoroughly wash all the oranges under hot water with the addition of baking soda using a brush or abrasive sponge. Then scald and the fruit is ready to use.

Remember! Citrus fruits are always better to be carefully processed, even if you do not use the skin for food, but eat the pulp.

To make orange juice, we will also use the skin of oranges, so we process the fruit more carefully.

When everything is ready, cut the oranges in half and make natural juice using a citrus juicer. I have it by hand. An ordinary glass, on which a sieve with a device for rubbing fruit is arranged on top.

We squeeze the juice from all the oranges that we have prepared. We do not throw away the pulp that is formed (collected) on the sieve, we use absolutely everything to make juice.
From three medium-sized oranges, I got 250 ml. natural orange juice.

We send the pulp and juice to a container (bowl) of a large volume, here we add sugar and lemon juice.

Separately, on a coarse grater or using a blender, grind the orange peels.

Grated peels are also sent to the orange mass with sugar.

Add 1.5 liters. water and hire to infuse for 40-60 minutes.

When the orange juice with pulp is infused, we filter the juice, separating it from the pulp and peels with a fine sieve or gauze.

The resulting pulp is not thrown away. It can be poured with water with sugar again (no more than 1 liter), let it brew and drain again, the juice will turn out no worse than the first one. If desired, it can be cooled well or served with the addition of pieces of ice in a glass.
